Haunted Random Forest Festival
University of Sussex Digital Humanities Lab
Lighthouse Arts, Brighton, 2017
I curated this festival with Wesley Goatley and Emma Harrison, a weekend of free public events that explored oblique representations of machine learning systems through participatory engagements that demystified technological progress. Our programme of workshops, talks, artworks and a ghost tour broadened access to digital technologies, and invited 50 participants across Brighton to explore the ghosts in the machine together through creative thinking and learning. Guest speakers and artists included Ruth Catlow, Ramon Amaro, Henry Cooke and Natalie D Kane. This festival was made possible with the support of the Sussex Humanities Lab.
